  • Elizabeth Fenton School of Dancing

The Elizabeth Fenton School of Dancing was founded in 1977

Elizabeth Fenton was trained at the Doreen Bird College at Sidcup, gaining teaching qualifications of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and the Royal Academy of Dancing

In 2016 the school was passed onto her daughter Felicity Le Roux

The School’s friendly, caring approach encourages each pupil to progress and achieve to his or her potential. We believe that dance can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter what ability or disability. Every child is made to feel important and a special person

We take the same approach to examinations. No pupil is made to take examinations, but is openly encouraged to do so and this promotes confidence and a sense of achievement. The School enters pupils regularly for I.S.T.D. Grade, Vocational Graded Examinations and R.A.D. Vocational Graded Examinations

Children can join the School between the ages of 3 and 18 years

The School offers classes in Ballet from 3 years, Tap from 5 years and Modern from 6 years old, National and Jazz from 7 years. The more popular classes have waiting lists

Selected pupils are entered for local dance festivals and competitions in England. Past pupils have appeared in West End theatres and have gone on to full-time training at the Royal Ballet School, The English National Ballet School , The Royal Academy of Dancing and other leading dance schools
